: Spring 2014: Selina Yi : Biology with Neurobiology option and Certificate in Studio Art: 2D Focus: Class of 2017: Marshfield, WI: Chinese: Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholar (2013-present), Wisconsin Medical Society (2013), Undergraduate Neuroscience Society - Officer (2013-present), Swing Club (2013), Habitat for Humanity (2013), Hoofers Sailing Club (2013-present), Bermans J. Iskandar Neurosurgery Lab - Research Assistant (2013-present), Center for Sleep and Consciousness Lab - Research Assistant (2013-present): I joined aKDPhi because I wanted to find a way to make an impact on campus without feeling like I was drowning in such a big university. I went through my first semester of my freshman year and felt like I hadn't accomplished much or met many people. I saw how motivated, grounded, and caring the sisters of aKDPhi were and knew that I wanted to be part of more than just an organization, but part of a sisterhood - THIS sisterhood.: Joining aKDPhi has challenged me to look at all parts of my life and to have the strength to be able to work through each obstacle that comes my way. It has taught me to be more time-efficient, to take others into consideration, and that it is okay to be vulnerable sometimes. aKDPhi has helped me establish myself more as an individual and has given me the opportunity to lead and be led by others. I know it is still early in my journey and that I have so much more to learn from aKDPhi!: Traveling, hot yoga, sailing, windsurfing, painting, ceramics, tennis, playing and listening to music, taking sun naps, eating vicariously through foodgawker: I hope to attend medical school and make the most of my experiences along the way! I want to travel, make new friends, take risks, and be humble through all that I do.
