When I first moved to Madison for college, I found myself alone and lost. I was away from family and friends; even the close connection I had with my younger sister was gone. I wanted to find my place on campus so I decided to get involved in student organizations. I first heard about aKDPhi and what they stood for from my brother. After doing research and attending aKDPhi's rush events, I knew that this was the right organization for me. aKDPhi filled in the gap in my college career. Everything that aKDPhi had to offer opened up a new world to me of new experiences. I found a home away from home and a group of sisters that I am proud to call family.: I have learned a lot from aKDPhi. From professionalism to finding myself, I have really grown as an individual. aKDPhi has made my college experience better than expected. It helped me find my confidence that I didn't know I had. Within our sisterhood, I learned what it means to be a leader and a mentor to others. aKDPhi has taught me so much and prepared me well for the real world after college. I honestly wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for my sisters. They've challenged me and pushed me to my best potential. And now, I am glad I can do the same for others as well.: Dancing; singing/rapping; relaxing; hiking/sight seeing, playing piano, music; public speaking: Strong activist in the community; help and support families along with those in need; CEO/president of non-profit organization
