: Fall 2013: Jessica "Serendipi-D" Tang : Human Development and Family Studies: Class of 2017: Kenosha, WI: Vietnamese: VP-Internal, VP-External, PR-External, Performance Chair, Social Chair, Rush Co-Chair, Historian, Status Committee: MGC Spring 2015 Service Chair: I joined aKDPhi because I wanted to have a group of people I could always fall back on. I came to UW-Madison as a free bird and I just wanted a clean and fresh start to do whatever made me happy. My sister, who crossed into aKDPhi in Spring 2011, has been my role model ever since I was young. She is the one who introduced me to this sorority, and I am forever thankful. When she introduced me to all of the sisters, I fell in love with all of them and realized, "Wow, this is what I really want to be a part of," and then bam. I crossed into this amazing sisterhood in Fall 2013.: aKDPhi has given me so much, taught me so much, and given me so many important people whom I love to death. I also have a fear of public speaking, and being a part of this sorority has given me many opportunities to speak in front of a crowd. I still get nervous, but I have gained a lot of self-confidence for public speaking through aKDPhi. I have also truly learned what having responsibilities is like, because you have a group of girls relying on you and if you don't do your job right, it falls back on others. I have definitely matured after crossing into aKDPhi. I never once regretted my decision of joining this sisterhood, and I never will.: Working out, shopping, make-up, fashion, typography, DIY crafts, having fun: I have no idea what I hope to do in the future, but I do hope to work with children of color in low income families.
