Fall 2014 Rush: Don’t just find yourself, Create yourself

We welcome you to join the sisters of alpha Kappa Delta Phi at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for this week-long rush period — your chance to get to know the sisters and learn more about the FIRST and ONLY internationally recognized Asian-interest sorority and the largest in the United States! alpha Kappa Delta Phi was founded on February 7, 1990 by fourteen women who wanted to create an organization where women could participate in the Greek System while advocating for their culture. Our five pillars revolve around the vision of those fourteen women; they are sisterhood, scholarship, service, leadership, and Asian/Asian-American awareness. The values of our pillars are instilled into our members who are encouraged to challenge stereotypes, resist oppression, and make a positive impact on the community. As the ONLY internationally recognized Asian-interest sorority, alpha Kappa Delta Phi is leading the way in creating a stronger Asian/Asian-American presence at each university where a chapter is located. Wisconsin aKDPhi at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is the only Asian-interest sorority in the state. Though we are Asian-interest, we are NOT Asian-exclusive. The sorority is composed of highly motivated women with diverse backgrounds, interests, and fields of study. Each woman, however, shares a strong bond of love, friendship, and sisterhood. Through a supportive network of over 5,000 sisters from 48 collegiate chapters and multiple alumnae associations all over the world, each woman can strive to fulfill with excellence her personal, academic, and career goals. What is Rush? Rush offers a perfect opportunity to explore all groups on campus.
