aKDPhi-ght Against Breast Cancer: Mr. Pink, Pink Party, & Flocked

Breast cancer remains to be the most commonly diagnosed form of cancer worldwide with a new case diagnosed every three minutes in the U.S. Our goal is to raise funds and awareness for this disease by hosting a month-long series of events titled “aKDPhi-ght Against Breast Cancer” which includes our fifth annual Pink Party, our second annual Mr. Pink Pageant, and our fifth annual FLOCKED event. Proceeds will go towards the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. Donate to sponsor a flamingo for FLOCKED & learn more about what Avon Breast Cancer Crusade and Haley’s Gift do for those affected by breast cancer Find out more about Wisconsin αΚΔΦ Wisconsin aKDPhi-ght Against Breast Cancer 2013 on Facebook October 25th on Bascom Hill Our signature FLOCKED event recreates an old campus prank from the first day of class in 1979 in hopes of raising campus spirit and breast cancer awareness throughout the Madison community. We would like to request your support to sponsor a pink flamingo for $10. Your flamingo will have your name with an optional memorandum to commemorate those who are and have been affected by breast cancer. Join this event on Facebook. October 18th, 6pm at Tripp Commons The Mr. Pink Pageant is a men’s pageant our chapter started hosting last year to involve other people and organizations in our goal to spread breast cancer awareness. Mr. Pink represents a student who has a love for serving his community, promotes a positive self-image, and encourages a healthy lifestyle. Representatives from several different student organizations will be invited to participate. They will compete in various rounds in order to become Mr. Pink. Join this event on Facebook. October 18th, 10pm-2am at Segredo The Pink Party is an annual party that we host in order to kick-off BCA month. We invite all of our attendees to wear pink to recognize those who have been affected by breast cancer. It’s a great way to get the word out about our cause and get campus involved in raising money for a cure. Pre-sale tickets are $10, and those under 21 will have to pay an extra $5 cover charge at the door. Join this event on Facebook. Donate to aKDPhi-ght Against Breast Cancer!View...
